Album thumbnail count for "Cover photo" albums not updating

Hi, the "cover photo" albums are only adding to the count, not subtracting from the count when a cover photo is modified (ie, a new one is added) I uploaded 5 cover photos, deleted 4 of them, and the count remains at 5. Also, only one thumbnail remains in the album. I was also having trouble with the cover photos not showing their thumbnails under the profile albums, but I was unable to replicate the problem consistently.

Thank you for your assistance with this.

Hi, Prasad.

1. Upgrade to latest version of JomSocial -> 3.2.1.3

UPGRADE

0. Make a safe copy of your whole system (files and database)
1. Browse to Backend -> Extensions -> Extension Manager -> Manage
2. Search all extensions using filter "com"
3. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions
4. Search all extensions using filter "jom"
5. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions
6. Download latest JomSocial package from here: www.jomsocial.com/component/digistore/licenses
7. Unzip it
8. Install com_community package via Joomla! installer
9. Follow installation steps
10. Install iJoomla installer for future version check and upgrade.

After that you'll need to do a menu fix also:

When you upgrading JomSocial menu items in JomSocial toolbar lost "connection" with component. Joomla! mark them as disabled and with notice: "Component 'com_community' does not exist". In order to fix it please follow this instruction:

- click on menu item in JomSocial menu in order to edit it
- when in edit mode don't change anything
- save
- menu item should be fixed
- do it for every JomSocial related menu items (if needed) in all other menus

2. Run cron job manually (or set it to be run automatically): Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Monitor -> Email queue -> Execute cron (button top right). Cron job clears remains after some activities.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi, I followed all the instructions you provided.

After testing the cover photo for a user, the thumbnail is working correctly, but the count is still incorrect.

I uploaded a cover photo. I then "modified" the cover photo and uploaded another one. After this, I went to the cover photo album and deleted the first photo. With only one photo remaining, the count is still showing as 2 photos.

Also, when I go to a user's profile and click on photos, it seems to be showing all photos. Also, clicking on the person's groups don't show the group. Clicking on the current user's groups shows all groups. Is there a setting I need to change?

Thank you.

Hi, Prasad.

Try to run corn job manually after you delete photo: Backend -> Extensions -> JomSocial -> Monitor -> Email Queue -> Execute cron (button upper right).

I can't login to your frontend as I get 403 error. Could you check this?

Hi Michal,

I have fixed the 403 error but need a way to send you the new password. Please let me know the best way to do this.

I ran the cron job as you recommended. I went through all the steps to recreate the issue and then ran the cron job. This did fix the photo count on the album.

However, when I click on the "photos" under one user's profile, all the albums come up, not just that user's. This is the same for groups.

Also, after signing in, the page is now going to the activity stream but in the toolbar, the "profile" tab is showing as active instead of the "home" house icon.

Thank you again for your assistance with this.

Hi, Prasad.

So original issue was fixed.

I still can't get in to your site: prntscr.com/4iw23t

And, please, remember: OPEN NEW thread for any of your NEW issue. Don't merge threads.
But did you do that:

- click on menu item in JomSocial menu in order to edit it
- when in edit mode don't change anything
- save
- menu item should be fixed
- do it for every JomSocial related menu items (if needed) in all other menus

For ALL JomSocial related menu items in ALL menus?
If yes and still doesn't work - please, open new thread for it.
