I'm trying to figure out if it might be the Application Firewall on our Rochen server, or a glitch in Jomsocial. We just upgraded to 3.2.1.3 and still have the issue. If you try to change your avatar, you get the big blue upload button, but it doesn't do anything but let you choose an image. The image never uploads and never appears anywhere. I've tried both setting it to local server and to our amazon s3 server. Neither works. I just have no idea why this isn't working.

thanks!

Hi, Brian.

Your site is down due to koowa plugin error: prntscr.com/4ewx05
Please, disable it so I could investigate your reported issue.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

It's up for me. I just logged into it. Try clearing your cache. I haven't seen a koowa error in months on that site.

This is just really strange. I've disabled Docman, I think it's the culprit. I can't make it give me an error no matter what I try, so I don't exactly know what's causing you to get that error. Let me know if it's still doing it for you.

Docman has been completely removed (and replaced with eDocman). Let me know if you still get an error.

Hi, Brian.

Ok, it's fine now.

First get rid of menu item issue:

When you upgrading JomSocial menu items in JomSocial toolbar lost "connection" with component. Joomla! mark them as disabled and with notice: "Component 'com_community' does not exist". In order to fix it please follow this instruction:

- click on menu item in JomSocial menu in order to edit it
- when in edit mode don't change anything
- save
- menu item should be fixed
- do it for every JomSocial related menu items (if needed) in all other menus

Make sure that you do this for ALL JomSocial related menu items in your system.

Then check if issue persist.

Yep, you're right. I had upgraded this site from Joomla 2.5 to 3 a few months ago (after the school ended and the students weren't logging in any more). I never thought to check the tool bar menu. That fixed it.

thanks!
