Hi

I've just upgraded to the latest Jomsocial version and placed it on a development site:
dev.takecovermate.com

I performed a manual installation - as outlined in your documentation.

Initial testing shows some style customization, which is fine. However, I notice that when trying to link a video from YouTube, I receive the Invalid Video ID Provided error message. This error also occurs when I click on any existing videos on the site.

Can you assist and advise prior to me updating my live site? Thanks

Dev site is installed in /public_html/dev

This issue is caused by "disabled" menu items. Try this fix:

When you upgrading JomSocial by uninstalling it, menu items in JomSocial toolbar lost "connection" with component. Joomla! mark them as disabled and with notice: "Component 'com_community' does not exist". In order to fix it please follow this instruction:

- click on menu item in JomSocial menu in order to edit it
- when in edit mode don't change anything
- save
- menu item should be fixed
- do it for every JomSocial related menu items (if needed) in all other menus


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Thanks for your quick reply - that's worked, although any video in the activity stream now opens the video page in a new window, instead of playing in a pop-up lightbox. Suggestions?

It's because you set to open object from string in new window ^^
Backedn -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Site -> Activity box -> Open link in new tab -> set to NO.

And please remember, ALWAYS open NEW thread for your new issue. Don't merge topics as it will make harder for other user to find solutions. Your second issue is irrelevant to topic subject ;)
