Apparently this is an ongoing issue with the new version of Jomsocial. I wasn't able to find one thread that helps everyone. It seems to be a case by case thing. So I would like to present my case :)

I can't view any photos. Be it group or profile. I can see thumbs but once clicked I get: "Sorry, the system needs a proper id to process."

Hope to get a solution found soon. I just ordered this new subscription thinking everything was rock solid. Guess that's never the case in web development. I'll patiently wait for help :) Don't let me down!

PS. Let me add that the album covers no longer show either. It still links to the album but the image does not show.

Hi Arthur,

please turn off sh404sef - System plugin that plugin not suitable for Jomsocial. you can use joomla URL rewriting at joomla configuration.

So you saying that's it's not compatible with it? There's no work around? And I have an issue on a diff install where album covers isn't showing and I'm not using Sh404sef. What would cause that?

Hi Arthur,

if I turned off that plugin the album/photos will not have that error again anymore. that because the URL overridden by that plugin
at the end of the URL must have this query string:

?albumid=[some ID]
if not, will error.

and about album cover isn't showing is different issue. maybe that site using sub domain and the album cover not using default cover (has been changed by using "set as cover")

This is what I was told by their team:

"There`s nothing we can do about this our side, we already explain to Merav ( Jomsocial CEO ) what they are doing wrong and also how they can fix their issue.

You should post about that in their support for and tell them about that.

Is this true? I'm not trying to be stuck in the middle of a back and forth thing. But it is a few bugs on Jomsocial side. When can we expect the next update? If it's going to be over a month can I suspend my subscription until then? I'm not trying to get stuck and not get a fix until my subscription is over with like the last time.
