Image Gallery Error

When you go to add a menu link for the following type of menu

Menu Item Type > Community > My Videos (display recent videos from a specific user)

It does not let you specify a specific user.

We are trying to create a menu link called Gallery that displays all the images from 1 specific user, not the entire social network etc.

Can you please assist with this.

Hi Alan,

You cant use that method for showing the specific video from a user, you need to use external URL, eg : index.php?option=com_community&view=videos&task=myvideos&userid=USERID

thank you

Hi, Alan.

You can't create such a link choosing from menu types.
You have only TWO options there: create link to ALL Videos or link to MY Videos (this is dynamic link and will display Videos of currently logged in user).

In order to create link to a specific user videos:

1. Log in to frontend
2. Browse to that user vidos
3. Copy URL from URL browser field
4. Browse to backend
5. Create new menuitem - external url
6. Paste URL you copied.

And now you have link to certain user video page.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
