mov video file type is not supported

Greetings,
I'm trying to upload a .mov file on the front end and it says that it is not supported. i have added the mov file type in the Legal Image Extensions in Media Manager, am i missing something?

Hi, Linda.

Please upgrade JomSocial to current version -> JomSocial 3.2.0.5 and check if issue still persist.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hello Michal,
Thank you for your reply. I have upgraded the version as you said, the issue still persist, i can upload the file via iphone, but the issue happens when uploading from desktop pc.

I can uploaded .mov file at your site without any issue. from frontend sharebox and from video page.
I missing something here. please explain more specific if the problem still exist.

Hello Albertus,
I have no clue what is going on, i just tried again and it's still giving me the error that the file is not supported!

I have also tried to uploaded the file in this path: media/vids/0218.mov , and tried to add the full link instead of uploading directly from desktop, but unfortunately it says that the link is unsupported....

i tried to use different browsers to upload from desktop but was also unsuccessful... i dont know what am i missing here?

Please advice.

but using your mov at my local no problem. only at your site. could you provide me FTP access detail? by editing your first post on this topic. put it at Site Info form.

Hi Linda,

your php configuration is too low for. upload_max_filesize only to 2M, your mov file 4MB. please increase it.
here our recommendation for php configuration

max_execution_time: 30 if can 1200 
max_input_time: 60 if can 1200  
memory_limit: 220M if can 512M
post_max_size: 8M if can
upload_max_filesize: 2M if can 20M
