In JS3.2 RC1 there was a pronblem:
When user1 uploaded single photo (or few photos) to albun and user2 "likes" in stream, it didn't gave a "Like" to photo (or album). It was fixed it RC1/2 at beta.

Now in 3.2.0.5 it apper again with "single photo upload".
1. User 1 uploaded photo.
2. User 2 liked it it stream (it didn't gave a "Like" to photo):

3. User3 liked photo in photo's page (it created action is stream that User3 likes, without User2):

edit:I just talked with our developers, and we change it since RC 1, since our PO decided that like on activity is only about like for that specific activity, it does't affect the photo itself. So it's not a bug.

But it works for video.

When I like this "specific activity", it give like to video. What the difference? I think it works normal. And for photo should work like this :)

In this case (in first post) user just uploaded single photo directly to album (didn't uploaded it with sharebox and "Say something..." field). So, user expected that he just uploaded photo to let others Like photo (he doesn't know that was some specific activity created with differents likes).

Any way, backend has option to turn ON/OFF likes for groups, events etc. And doesn't have the same for "specific activity".

I really need the solution to hide this "Like" button in "specific activity" to preventг user's confusion.

I'm gonna consult with our PO about the video, maybe it's a bug..Since like I said, he made it clearly that the photo issue is not a bug and it'll not be fixed for now.

When I comment this "specific activity", comment move directly to item (photo/video/album) and I really like it.

Is it bug too?

Hello. It will cause a lot of problems. For example, user looks "main stream" and to comment video directly (to make video's autor get notification and answer the quastion), he need navigate to main video gallery and find this video among lots of videos (it kinda difficult if videos was added week ago or later). Open video's page and comment. Uhhh.
It take lots of time and uncomfortable. We can see this problems with "Likes" now, and the same thing with comments will ruine community (no new likes, no comments for videos if user use Stream to watch it).
Users will ask me "how to add comment to video", and I'll need to ask it there, because I don't know how.
And I don't know what to say them about ""Likes" now :(

- how to "Like" video?
- u' need to find video in gallery.
- SleepyMan, are u crazy? There is more than 16000 videos and no "Search function". How to find it?
- Sorry. It's a new "feature" called "specific activity" :(

If you will deside to keep this feature about "specific activity", I think you should add 2 more features:
1. turn ON/OFF likes/comments for "specific activity".
2. make videos open in new (blank) page, so user can watch it and comment/like in this page.

I think, that stream should be most like the "mirror" otf the items (videos, photos). If you like/comment it at stream, it should give like/comment to item. For example I commented this photo in stream www.jomsocial.com/community/photos/photo...upid=15&photoid=1943
I can visit this page few years later and find this comment (and it good :) )

Well our PO confirmed that comments should also reflect on photo itself, so it'll not be changed. About turn on/off function like I said, there's nothing we can than suggest you to post this idea on our uservoice, and then our team will consider this as future improvment.

This's fix for issue with liking videos.

Please extract those files here > \32js30\components\com_community\controllers\system.php and second file here > \components\com_community\models\activities.php(it'll be included into our next installation package)

And then check the issue once again, it should fix the problem. If not, please let us know and we'll look into this once again.

Hello. How to like video after applying this fix?

Go to this specific video, and click on thumb.

Users reports, they can't navigate to specific solider page (in stream it opens in popup window).

They need to navigate to "all videos" page and there they can like some specific video.
