Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
I set up the video uploads with the correct paths, and the videos are still not uploading at all. What can be the issue? The message "An email will be sent to you when the video has been processed" keeps showing up, yet the videos never upload.
Video is uploaded but pending conversion - that different thing.
1. Make sure that FFMPG library is installed on your server (ask your hosting provider for help)
2. Make sure that you entered correct path to FFMPG library (again ask hosting provider if you're not sure)
3. Set a cron job to convert videos:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Setting_Up_Cron_Job
or try to run it manually adding this to your domain: /index.php?option=com_community&task=cron
4. If videos will still not converted as your hosting provider for advice (operating system version and FFMPG lbrary version)
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
