Hello,

When I view the Photos page with all JomSocial albums, the albums I created in groups are also displayed here. I think they should not.
The following snapshot was done on your demo site.

Hi, nrichard.

That's correct. If group is public then group albums are public as well.
If you think it should be changed, please, post a feature request here: uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-feature-request

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

The group is not public. I belong to the group but I can only see the albums I created in the group (and not albums created by other users in the group).

Either all group albums I'm allowed to see (public groups or groups I belong to) should show on the (global) Photos page, or none of them.
This last behavior is the best I think, and seems to be the one you implemented, but it looks like your code will show the album I created without checking if they belong to a group or not.

Hi, nrichard.

I can't confirm that.
I created a private group and allow to create albums.
Created an album and uploaded photos.
Album is not visible for users that are not members of that private group.

If group in not private albums will be shown in Photos along with other albums.

To summarize, on Photo page:
- I can see albums of public groups (even if I don't belong to them)
-> Well... maybe if I don't belong to a group I don't want to see its albums, no?
- I can't see albums of private groups (even I belong to them)
-> Well... when I belong to a private group, maybe I want to see its albums, no?
- I can see my own group albums, either the group is public or private

This seems to be a bit inconsistent... From my opinion, group albums should not show at all on Photos page. Or maybe you should set parameter (JomSocial option) to show/hide these albums on Photos page, and modify the above rules to have something more logical when an administrator chooses to show them.

Hi, nrichard.

It's not a bug so only way this could be changed is post a feature request: uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-feature-request

I disagree. Adding a "Show/hide group albums on Photos page" option may indeed be a feature request, but the way JomSocial currently displays (or not) group albums on the Photos page (see my latest post) is more a bug to me.

I'm escalating this.

Hi nrichard,

This post has been escalated to me and i can see that the design is not how you would like it to function. Because it is working as it was designed, you would need to raise it as a feature request in this case. Then we can look at your suggestion for future releases.

The other thing that has been brought to my attention is the backlink on your site. It appears to have been removed, Our standard licence requirement is that the backlink must be displayed on all jomsocial pages and we do not offer any support if it has been removed. This can be referenced on the following pages www.jomsocial.com/pricing www.jomsocial.com/license-agreement www.jomsocial.com/support

If you require further support please reinstate the backlink or purchase the pro version, which does not require the backlink to be displayed. www.jomsocial.com/products/products/1-jo...essional-edition/215

I think there is something missing in your processes to handle minor improvements (I would not call "feature requests").
Having something like Facebook pages is a feature request (this is just an example). Displaying on the Photos Page the albums of groups (even if they are private) I joined is just a minor improvement that would make JomSocial more consistent (at least this is my opinion). And mixing all this in you Feature Request System is I think not a good idea (unless you want to "bury" those minor improvement requests ;-)

Regarding JomSocial backlink, OK, let's follow the rules then, link is back.
