Hi there! Sorry to have to make another post on this topic but there doesn't appear to be a way for me to tag-team the post by MJay.
I am using IE 11.0.9600.16521CO and the latest version of JomSocial (3.1.1).
See attached photos. In the first instance, it's landscape and seems to resize okay. In the second, it's portrait and overflows the container.
It looks like there may be a fix to this problem? If so, can you please provide me with this update?
As always, if you make changes, please provide details for my configuration management log.
hi Amber,
can you provide FTP access for me or our developer?
Warm Regards,
David
Dear Amber,
I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. We apparently had a real issue on our forum and some posts simply were not visible for us. Our developers are currently fixing this issue and this should not happen again. I hope this didn't create a problem for you
Back to your question about jomsocial photo gallery on IE 11, i have been talk to our developer and he said this is because .css file which is width and height set to auto and IE can't read it automaticly..
I will marked this as confirmed bug and i hope our developer can create a quick fix for you about this problem :)
Warm regards,
David
Hi Amber,
Our developer have been looked at your website, they did debug on another website to using IE 11 as your browser and our developer said this is not a bug because on another website this gallery works perfectly.. our developer said maybe you can check your plugins and extension, there is a crash with another css and javascript..
i also tried to disable some plugins and extensions.. maybe you can check again on your backend if i did publish wrong plugins didn't same like your default.. since this is midnight here so i will continue check your extensions and plugins tomorrow morning..
Warm Regards,
David
Hi amber,
may i (or you can) install akeeba backup on your site? i need test it locally to find which javascript conflict with your site..
Warm Regards,
David
Hi Amber,
I have been override your css file on template and now it works.. please check your website again :)
This is how i solve your issue :
add custom code on your template like below :
<!--[if gt IE 9]>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/templates/socialize/css/IEgt.css">
<![endif]-->
.photoViewport .photoDisplay img {
max-height: 100% !important;
Yes, this seems to have resolved the problem. Thanks!
Before I close this out, however, I want to be clear about possible other changes you made, as I am not sure by what you previously wrote. Did you unpublish/publish plug-ins on my site and if so, can you please provide me with a list? Thanks.
Hi Amber,
I have been activated all plugins as like before.. I didn't create a list for that because you had so many plugins.. :) so i suggest you to check again your plugins and the other on backend.
Warm Regards,
David
Hi, so on the one hand, I do appreciate that the IE problem is solved.
On the other, messing around with my plugins and such created new issues. Hence why I asked in the opening message to keep a specific log of what changes you make. Configuration management is a critical part of having any site operate well. Generally it applies only to code--I am sure you folks keep track of code changes using solid configuration management tools--but it equally applies to enabling/disabling plugins and modules.
Telling me to go figure out what you changed and didn't restore is not cool. :(
Hi Amber,
There is no new issue amber, as i told you before, i have been activated all your plugins same like before.. but if ask for check list, i don't make it.. if your default pluigns (as example : community) was enable and i disable it for temporary and enable it again, this thing i must report to you even your community plugins same like first condition (enable) ??
Warm Regards,
David
