When viewing a picture, there was an option in the submenu to download the picture, this is no longer available.

Was that taken off, or is there a problem?

Hi Marcos,

Download link disappear because at your Jomsocial backend:
Administrator: components - Jomsocial - Photos - Photo settings: Delete Original Photos = Yes
to make download link appear at frontend you must make Delete Original Photos = No

I already did for you, now have the download link for every photos
