For the past four days I have been searching this forum and the internet for a solution and even a better understanding of this problem.

I have tried in vain to get uploaded videos to process and play on my website. I can upload the files just fine but the cron job to convert the videos just is NOT working. They are staying in the "Pending Videos" area.

What is really frustrating about this whole thing is that the JomSocial team are not making it clear in any of the answers that I have discovered in this forum and elsewhere exactly what the problem is and when and how it will be solved. The impression that I have is that this is a problem with JomSocial, and that you are working on a solution, is that correct?

I have tried it with a cron job setup in cPanel and also with Cronless and SetCronJob, none of which worked.

Hi, Todd Edwards.

Please, check administrator credentials. I passed htaccess login box, but can't log in to backend.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Michal,

I just checked them again and they are working for me. Did you see the clarification that I sent in the confidential box below where it spells out how to enter the username and password, where to use "0" (zero) and Capital "O"?

This might be confusing you and there are both zeros and capital O's in the username and password. If you check my previous post in the confidential area you will see how I have spelled it out for you.

Hi, Todd Edwards.

I use credentials that you provided us in confidential box.
I do not type login/password but just copy/paste it... so there should by no mistake or missclick.
I'll send you print screen with passwords that I see... maybe be see different things in that box? Please, post your email.

I have no idea why you are having this problem trying to login to my admin. I have sent them to you again with a detailed explanation of how and exactly what letters and numbers to enter. Did you receive and review those details so that you know where to use upper and lower case letters and where to use zero's and upper case O?

Maybe you need to actually type them in as perhaps cutting and pasting is not working?

Hi, Todd Edwards.

I usually just copy and paste access data and in most cases it works...

Hi, Todd Edwards.

Credentials in email works perfectly. I've sent you what I saw in credential box :)
That will explain a lot :)

I have replied to your email. Again my sincere apologies for the credentials mixup!

I will try that although I think I have read somewhere in this forum that a user had upgraded to the latest version and still had this problem.

I will get back to you soon and let you know what is happening.

Right I have now upgraded to the most recent version of JomSocial and the problem is still there. Videos will upload but they will not convert and show on the frontend.
