JomSocial Expired

Hi, I want to create a video voting system (only YouTube vids on site are allowed) so we can dsplay a winner each month. It's been suggested that I could use the 'likes' to do this, but need a point in the right direction.. so 4 quick questions to get me going?

Where are video 'likes' stored in the database?
Can I change video 'like' language to 'vote for this' ? (just video likes)
Can I isolate video likes from other likes? (though the first/second question will probably answer this for me)
Has someone done similar previously?

Hope you can point me in the right direction

Best wishes

Hi, Trevor.

1. All likes are stored here: _community_likes
2. No, there is one constant for all "Like" and one code to insert "Like" box with icons.
3. You can isolate it in db but not in certain file/template

So, there is no simple hack for it but you could try to hire a developer to customize code for you: www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
