When going to next page of activity wall all covers show as empty fields
- Uploaded covers activities are displayed on the active wall page as they should, including the image
- But, when clicking the "more" button and going to next page, the cover pictures disappear from the activity wall. Instead of covers the users are displayed empty fields, including a broken links symbol.
- This happens to all activities related to uploaded covers: profile covers, event covers and group covers
When investigating the database entries for activities related to cover uploads it showed that they all have a link like this:
{"attachment":"images\/cover\/event\/222\/25f9c43b4b022060262f405283664923.jpg","type":"event"}
However, this type of link only works for the first page of the wall. It doesn't work for all next pages.
After some puzzling around I discovered, that the lost cover images return when a slash is added to the path, just before "images":
{"attachment":"/images\/cover\/event\/222\/25f9c43b4b022060262f405283664923.jpg","type":"event"}
By using this method, I managed to bring back a lot of cover images. However, it is no real solution to recover images in the database. Can you help?
I couldn't find a broken cover... so I'm trying to help you in blind :)
Try to change way that URLs are created. I see that you are using Joomla! SEF.
Got to Backend -> Global Configuration -> Suchmaschinenoptimierung (SEO) and change URL-Rewrite nutzen to Ja.
Remember to change htaccess.txt name to .htaccess.
Then check if issue persist. And please, post link to page where I could see broken link.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
