Visiting some jomsocial websites and including mine, i feel that the video page is uninteresting because most of the videos are not unique ( mostly shared from youtube). What i believe the video menu page should only include videos members uploaded from their hard drives. only then other members might find something interesting to watch. How can i make the video menu to display only uploaded videos? .. some hacks can do it?

Yes, there is a way to force people to only upload videos :) Just hide linking video tab :)

Navigate to this file via FTP:
ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/videos.add.php

And copy it to:
ROOT/templates/your_template/html/com_community/videos.add.php (if you don't have 'html' or 'com_community' folders, feel fre to create them.

Now edit videos.add.php in line 37 - remove this line:

<li><a href="#tabs-1"><?php echo JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_VIDEOS_LINK'); ?></a></li>

<div id="tabs-1">
		<div style="clear:both;display:block">

I'm happy with your reply and fast approach.. its been a while since i got such a fast response over jomsocail.. thank you.

I do understand that we can prevent users from sharing but that's not actually my goal .. my goal is to let them share whatever but the video page ( main video menu item ) not to show those shared videos and be limited to uploaded videos. Do you think this can be done ? so what we are actually asking index.videos.php is to only show videos uploaded to server ..

Sorry if I misunderstood. So you just want to separate videos uploaded by users from those linked from YT... well it can't be done with simple hack in view template. It will require developer help and core files hacking.
