We have noticed an occurrence when making photo posts in the main feed or on group pages.

Example: We posted a photo to one of our groups (the VIF Community group) and it appeared in the feed for that group, as well as the main home feed. When another user decides to submit a photo on the same group page, their post appears but it displaces the previous photo and that initial photo no longer appears in the feed. The photo is still in the album but the only way to see it or even know that it is there and has been posted is to go to the album and go through all of the photos.

Our assumption and hope is that all posts made would remain in the main feed and group feeds so all users would see each and every post regardless of when they log onto our site.

we are wondering if there is a setting we can adjust to get

Please, could you provide me a link to page that displays that problem? It will be much easier to diagnose it.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal,

Thanks for your response. It might be a little difficult to share a link to show you what I am referring to. It seems like the display for the album is probably set up to 'update' and not 'insert' a new record for display on the activity stream. Since we share a lot of pictures in one particular album at many times during the day, it keeps deleting the previous post (by updating the album). I wanted to know if there are any plans to ever spilt up the display of the post, so when a user uploads a picture the previous post by a different user still appears on the newsfeed.

You can log into our site and look at the album in one of our groups (VIF community) but as you will notice, you will only see one post in the newsfeed even if someone posted a picture an hour or a day ago.

Hi, Mark.

I understand what you mean. This feature has been designed to work that way. We had also other reports from users that are confused with it. Our developers are consider to change the way it works in future releases.
