When we upload any video under videos section, it is not showing thumbnail of video. Is jomsocial can provide facility to display video thumbnail. If yes then what settings we need to do for displaying video thumbnail.

Do you mean upload video from your HDD or from youtube? if from HDD you should enable the cron job service and install FFMPEG for making the thumbnails.

Have you tried in your live server instead of in local server? because hard to us replicate this issue if you test in local server.

As per the requirements mentioned in link "documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Video_L..._Upload_Requirements " , we dont have ffmpeg installed on server.
So to install ffmpeg how much space on server is required and which version we need to install. Can you provide us any reference link for this?

Hi Manny,

The uploading video feature wont work if you dont have FFMPEG, you can use the FFMPEG latest version, just an info we recommended you use ubuntu server for running FFMPEG.

I have installed ffmpeg on server and also updated path to ffmeg from backend i.e Path to FFMPEG field.
Now trying to set cronjob using this command : lynx -source " www.domain.com/index.php?option=com_community&task=cron " > /dev/null as given in link documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Setting_Up_Cron_Job .
but it is giving me error as no such directory found. Can you provide me solution to this with detail explaination.
