Hi,
again I have the probleem of a missing upload button, not sure when and why it disappeared. I had this before, then removed jomsocial, reinstalled and it was OK. Now it's back again. I was running 3.0.5.1 and decided to upgrade to check if it would ressolve the issue. Too bad it did not. Deleted and reïnstalled, but no go.
I attached a screenshot of the problem.
Any ideas here ?
Hi Jeroen.
First of all, it's always more then advised to use the latest release of our component, in fact only JomSocial 3.1 is supported, so I really suggest to update it to the latest release. Also such issues can be caused by javascript conflict and it's not happening on fresh install of Joomla and JomSocial, then I suggest to set your site under maintenance mode, and try to disable all extensions exept of those listed below also try to switch to default Joomla/JomSocial template, in such way you should be able to track this problematic extension. You can also try to download whole page on your hdd and create an copy of it on some dev domain, and there disable all extensions.
Authentication - Joomla!
User - Joomla!
Azrul System Mambot For Joomla
jomsocial facebook connect
Hi Jeroen.
Bassicaly this problem is not happening on our demo or community page, so it've to be caused by something else. My first idea is, other extension, this's why I suggest to follow my suggestion from post above.
The probleem seems to be resolved.
All I can think of is that there was some problem in 3.0.5.1 in combination with a plugin, which resolved when installing 3.1.
However probably not showing cause of some cache issues.
Anywayz, it works again.
Sure...I'll wait for your reply.
couple weeks, some frustrations and tests later, but no luck.
While having disabled/uninstalled everything possible, to the point where Joomla would crash if I disabled more plugins and while selecting a Beez template I still had the same problem.
I'm getting a little desperate to a point to leave it all for what it is :(
Isn't there any help you can offer? Could the problem be in some libraries which I should reinstall?
You should have more of a clue to where the problem *might* be?
Hi Jeroen.
Actually when I try to access your back-end I got blank page, to check the exact error you need to enable error reportings on your server.
Hi Jeroen.
I'm a little bit confused, I just tried to upload a photo on your community page and everything seems to work just fine, you can see my uploaded image in photos page.
Wow! I'm as confused as you are. Great :(
Just logged in under the test account and it worked indeed.
However under my account, another admin and at least 2 normal users it does not.
any ideas what the differences could be?
Hi Jeroen,
May i know that sample user ? because I tried with user from private info its working fine.
Hi guys, thanks for testing.
I just added my own accountinfo into the private info (extra info below).
That's where you should definitely encounter the problem I mentioned. Maybe from there you can contstruct the problem?
