JS Toolbar Issue with Menu Items Order

Hello,
I am trying to order my menu items in a specific order in the JS Toolbar Configuration Menu. But when I save the module and check the frontend, the menu items are re-ordered from A-Z, instead of the order I entered them in the module.

How can I have the menu items appear in the order I set them?

You need to change order of menu items in you menu - order of added menu items in module doesn't matter.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,

The way the JS Toolbar module settings are, you don't select a menu, instead you enter one by one which menu items you want. When I select the menu items in the order I want to have them appear on the frontend, they change when I click "save."

You only add menu items to display - that field do NOT set menu item in order.
The only way you can set their order is you menu in Backend -> Menus -> You menu.

The menu items are being pulled from different menus.
I will created a specific menu for the gear icon and see if it works that way.

Okay, let me know if this will work. Try to use menu item aliases.

Thank you Michal for your suggestion.

I was able to get the menu items in the order that I wanted by creating a Menu just for the gear icon and then creating menu items in that menu and in the order that I want them. So when I entered the menu items in the module settings, they stayed in the same order when I saved it.

So for anyone else (reading this post) who just chooses menu items from different menus, please note that your menu items will be ordered by alphabet when you save your module settings.
