Hi,

JS Notifications toolbar does not seem to be showing new global notifications. Friend Invite notifications appear to show correctly on the toolbar though.

I Have enabled "Article comments & replies" and "Article comment likes" within the - Config / Privacy / Default User Email & Notifications- page in admin, and I have reset existing users notification settings.

Is there something I have missed?

Thanks,

HI, Pete.

Thank you for contacting us.
I ws able to replicate this issue on my test site. I also do not get notifications with new article creation.
I reported this to our developers.
Please, stay tuned I should have answer soon.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

HI, Pete.

The purpose of JomSocial Article Notifications is to send notifications when... someone comments on article. Not when new article is published.
I know, title of this plugin could be misleading - we'll fix it.
All other notifications do work on my test site.

Hi Michał,

Thanks for getting back to us,

I don't seem to be getting any notifications at all from articles, including when a user comments on an article, or likes a comment on an article

I do get a notification for other events such as being invited to a group.

Any suggestions why the article comments notifications may not be showing?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me Michał,

The problem seems to no longer be happening. Unfortunately, I have no idea what caused it, so i'm unable to replicate it again, but the great news is that it is now all working fine here :)

Cheers

HI, Pete.

Maybe that was a temporary glitch related with Joomla! or server?
Great to hear that it's gone.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. I'm happy to help.
