Activity stream

Hi,

The activity stream shows only activity from the administrator to non logged in users. If users are logged in, they can see all the action of the activity stream. How can I make sure that non logged in users can also see what is happening on the activity stream?

Hi, Marco.

Thank you for contacting us.
Activity stream privacy settings are following profile settings. Make sure that all other activities are Public.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply. I'am not sure where I can find if all other activities are public. Can you point me into the right direction?

Hi, Marco.

You can edit post privacy settings straight on the stream:
prntscr.com/fx5v71
prntscr.com/fx5vkq
Make sure they are public.

Also you may change it in profile : prntscr.com/fx5vxq

Or reset globally in Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Privacy: prntscr.com/fx5wm9

Hi, Marco.

I tested and all posts should be public. Only those two: prntscr.com/fxn0lu are not showing.
Please, edit your last post with credentials and provide me your db login data. I need to check that in db.

HI, Marco.

It seems that group join posts are by default for logged in users only. They do not have privacy settings.
I tested this under clean installation of JomSocial.

Hi,

That's no good news. My website is a starting community and becoming a member of a group is a very important action to show. How can I make possible that this action is visible for the public?

HI, Marco.

It's visible for site members... let me ask our developers if there is away to make it public.

Hi,

Do you already know if it is possible to make "becoming a member of a group" visible for guests and public users?

HI, Marco.

This is a valid bug as users should be able to see public activity.
Our developer is working on this and we should provide fix ASAP.
