Please advise what is the most optimal way to implement dynamically generated drop down country/region/state/city list for Jomcocial users registration.

Is there any extension available for jomsocial which could give a drop down list to users of the cities depending on the country selected in a profile field? Please note, I want city drop down list to change according to the country selected. Only the cities belonging to that country should be shown.

Is it possible?

I saw that you asked about this already in our Community.
As I replied - it's not easy to do and will require some php coding... professional developer will be needed here.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hello,

gomoxiemedia.com/jomsocial-dynamic-selec...c-select-fields.html

I have found this module which can solve the purpose of the dynamic profile fields. However, It's an old module and doesn't specify that it will be compatible with the latest Jomsocial. Also, they are not replying to any support questions. Is there any way by which i can find out if this module could work for the new jomsocial?

OH... they advertise it: "Compatible with JomSocial 2.2.2 on both Joomla 1.5 and 1.6!"
You can't login to demo site... and demo uses... Joomla! 1.5 (sic!)
So this extension rather won't work with latest Joomla! and JomSocial...
