ISSUE SUMMARY:
Jomsocial is fantastic - but for our site we need to customize it to this extent:

Photo's features need to be completely disabled/hidden as well as tabs, etc related to it so users cannot see them;
Videos need to be edited to "Audio" or "Tracks".

I have found the Language file, and can certainly edit the tar out of it to rename and replace everything I want that says Videos, to "Audio" or whatever we want it to say. But we need audio formats of only two, maybe three flavors of format allowed (so we can avoid other audio formats like mp4, cda, etc being uploaded), so I will need to know where and with what code/etc to edit the file types so that only the desired formats can be used by users.

RESULT - Hide or remove photo's features completely and change "videos" to "audio" or some other word we choose.

EXPECTED RESULT - Photo related features to be hidden or not displayed to users and Videos changed to Audio or Tracks AND Jomsocial only allowing file format types x, y and or z to be uploaded.

Relating to PHOTOS - we do of course want avatars to be supported, as well as wall and background images for the user profiles to still be allowed. But just uploading photos and creating albums - we do not want if we can help it. Not now we don't.

foto photo upload you can turn if of from jomsocial backend > photos > photo settings
for file upload MIME or extensions, please goto joomla backend > content > media > options

No I am building it in now. Planning to use Music Collection for the audio specific functions like player, file types and related as well as attributes relative to song, album, etc. Going to use Jomsocial for the social pieces, and the iJoobi suite (jAffiliate, jDownload, jMarket) for the market and file control, as well as account types, commission %, and related.

Its hard to completely change the video to audio, it can say impossible except you do the big hack on it, and hire the 3rd party developer for it.

Or maybe you use another 3rd party for audio and mix it with jomsoical as community :)
