Catchable fatal error message when Jom Social User is enables

ISSUE SUMMARY:
When the Jom Social User plugin is enabled the following error displays when you login from the frontend of the website:

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to PlgSystemRedirect::handleError() must be an instance of JException, instance of Exception given in /home/mothers/www/www/plugins/system/redirect/redirect.php on line 55

You can login successfully, without the error message when the plugin in disabled.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Enable User - Jomsocial User
2 Login to website from the frontend
3 White screen with error message (see above) displayed
