I have this issue with the Hello Module being used for the login, as well as profile displays. See Img
Hi, Matthew.
Try to add this:
.g-main-nav .joms-input {
width: 65% !important;
}
Hi, Matthew.
Please, add a printscreen and mark what you want to change.
Visualization helps a lot and stands for thousand words ^^.
I asked for this fix as part of my first post and yet I've had to reiterate what it is I asked about, yet still no response and now it's the weekend!
You only answered by first question, so can I get an answer for my second before you don't work at weekends as I need to sort this before Sunday!
HI, Matthew.
I'm sorry for delay as I had few days of and you posted after my shift was over.
Please note that this is a customization request what we actually don't support... we provide some customization tweaks as a courtesy but it's not a part of technical support. Please, read our Support Policy, especially remarks at page bottom:
www.jomsocial.com/support
Hello Me module is rather meant to use in sidebars... or positions that are much wider than your current one. That's why you have "display issues"... which, actually aren't issues at at. Space is just so small and all elements are resized to fit it... what is by design. So what you want here is to redesign module. Sure that can be done by some css tweaks... but as our Support Policy states - layout changes are beyond scope of our technical support.
Hmmm to blame the "AV" not re sizing to responsive design, actually on the responsive design. Is that the same way you blamed ARK Editor for issues with hook url's not working and tabs failing in JS, which is rather funny, as ARK was removed before you fixed it (Ark was not installed when you fixed JS) and the exact same version of ARK was re-installed by me and it worked as intended and has done since.
Is that the same with the "login boxes" oversizing? Is that also the fault of the framework and not JS??
You know if I set the size outside of the responsive, your "Hello Me" module resizes to 500px and yet won't autoresize as per the responsive design!!
In regards to the "Hello Me" Module, the actual sale of JS was from your previous version where the AV was situated in the Center of the module and that's where your sale from me comes from.
Do you actually remember this -
HI, Matthew.
Hello me module is responsive... that's why I act like it do at the moment.
I don't blame anything just trying to explain that module will fit to it current container.
If container is small then it elements will be appropriately smaller.
It doesn't apply to element positions just their size and spaces around them.
Avatar will be always on the left per design:

It may be that you don't like new design but did you complain to Microsoft after you upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 8 that you don't like new design and want old back? Things evolve... you may don't like it but many others do. It's impossible to satisfy all...
You're referring to this documentation:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Hello_Me
and it's outdated...
What we advertise is available here:

Nevertheless the answer to your question is yes, you may customize Hello me module to have avatar in the middle without cover image as a background. You just need to customize css so it will look like this:

JomSocial is an open source so nearly any customization is possible... with a little skills.
First thing first, the position to which the module is connected to uses the "Auto" format for responsive. So if your module had say a 200px width, then the display would be 200px and then shrinks to the size requirement of that placement when in mobile view. This to me feels like an issue with the "Hello Me" module, as I have no such issues with others.
In terms of new design, it maybe a new design but I didn't purchase from the new design when I made my choice to move. As for using "upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 8", you do know that they are both very different in terms of how they are codded and how they work and actually yes I have complained to Microsoft about certain design issues in 99% of all their operating system right back from windows 98. But being a "Microsoft Business Partner" and "Microsoft Business Developer", we as a business can raise questions and actually have things changed hence "Patches".
As for your documentation, well it was this documentation that led to the sale of JomSocial in the first place and not the now updated version and it is only recently that it has been updated! I've been using JS since 3.1 and find a lot of visual has been changed without first communicating with the community and actually just to let you know, Microsoft uses it's community and actually speaks with it's community when it comes to changes t hat might not necessarily go down to well!
Oh and as I bought it under version 3.1, I would expect support for the version I originally bought.
