Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
If you mean to limit items on streamline, just change settings in Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Layout:

If you want to disable certain kind of activities to appear on stream, then Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> User Points and disable those rules that fits you.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Yes. I have tried that. This changed the number of items listed on the main timeline. However, what about the Profile Timeline? Can you see more items there? Does the feature restrict publication of content only to status updates? Can photos, videos, events and group listings appear in the profile timeline? And also is it possibly to scroll more listings on the Profile timeline like the main timeline?
1. No, this setting apply only to main activity stream.
2. On profile pages it display default name of activities (20)
3. No, this feature limits only number of displayed activities. For disabling certain activities you need to disable user points rules (what I mentioned in my post above).
4. Profile time line displays users related activity so yes, it displayed also posts from groups, photos, videos or whatever related with certain user.
5. Yes, it uses the same setting (in this case) as for main activity stream so you may have auto load or "more" button.
