ISSUE SUMMARY:I need to know how to make the homepage/site for members only? Just the login and the image on the homepage? similar to facebook where you have to login to access any features of the site? I dont want the stream or sidebar to show until members are logged in.

Hi,

you need to do this:
1. jomsocial configuration > layout, and set Show Activity Stream to members only
2. joomla bakcend > extensions > modules. set all activate modules access level to Registered. you need to edit the each modules.

thanks. Is there anyway to remove the login option underneath the front page image and keep the registration option on the image? And how do i edit the paragraph on the front page image?

for frontpage paragraph, goto joomla backend > extensions > languages, click overrides, click new.
and put new text for:
COM_COMMUNITY_HERO_PARAGRAPH

and for login bar. put this CSS at: /templates/socialize/css/custom.css (create it if not exist yet)

.cFrontpage .joms-landing__action {
  display: none;
}
