Youtube videos posted on the wall/timeline come up with a thumbnail of the video and the name of the video, both which when clicked upon open in a new tab that remains about:blank. On the time line therei s also a link text " www.youtube.com/watch " displayed, which when clicked upon, opens a new tab too, this time with the youtube vid. A screenshot of how it looks on the time line below. How can I get youtube videos to load in the timeline/wall itself? Or at the very least have links open correctly in new tabs?

You should click the thumb of video, so it will play on the stream.

Seems you didnt add the video correctly, you added it from status tab, right? it should from video tab. Look on my screenshoot, its working :)
