Kunena banning, moderator permissions and Jomsocial integration

I want to integrate kunena´s profiles with jomsocial profiles so that moderators can ban users from the forum as well as from jomsocial from within the jomsocial profile of the user. Length of ban in days should also be able to set with it and auto-expiring when the ban has run out.

Right now jomsocial gives a user special rights when they are listed in joomla as superuser. I want jomsocial to give a user special rights when they are listed as Moderator in kunena.
Are there any settings for this or am I missing something because it seems like the logical functionality to include if you want ti integrate jomsocial with kunena. I bought jomsocial PRO.
As my entire site is based around Kunena, if this cannot be integrated porperly jomsocial would be of no use to me and that would be a pity.

On top of this I thought I read that JomSocial was responsive and although it looks nice on windows, and very sleek on Linux, on mobile phones, it is one big mess.

So if you could look into these issues for me that would be great, I have provided you with all access data for the joomla admin, database and FTP. If certain things are not in your jurisdiction to repair then please provide me with what info I can pass on to a freelancer tor him to fix all these issues. It would be great if you can confirm your progress as I have to report back as well as work on other things on the site in the meanwhile as well as having deadlines to make

Hi, Midas.

I'm sorry but we can't help you with that.
What you need is a tighter Kunena-JomSocial integration what is not covered by current one.
Please, post your request here: uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-jo...ial-feature-requests

As for your second request:. JomSocial is 100% responsive. I've checked it:

Maybe you mean additional horizontal scroll bar? i.imgur.com/xHCABHe.png
But this one is caused by banner... not JomSocial.

Could you elaborate about responsiveness issue?
Please, add printscreens.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Thanks for your quick reply. Indeed the responsiveness issue was caused by the banners I had on top on the frontpage.
As for the forum. You have a very nice looking forum running on this site, does this integrate with jomsocial and what are you using? Perhaps it could be of use in my situation too.

I see you are using Kunena too so maybe my question wasn´t explained very well and there is a solution. So I´ll try to rephrase.

-When I click on your username, I get the page with your jomsocial profile on display.
-If you click on my username, I assume you get my jomsocial profile.

How would you go about banning me for a lifetime or giving me a temporary ban that expires after a set date or ban and remove all posts and profile information of me all together?

Hi, Midas.

We use Kunena forum. But it contains a lot of tweaks made for our use.
And as far I know banning in JomSocial doesn't ban on forum.
I hope in future Kunena and JomSocial will cooperate to extend current functionalities.
But for now we need to use what we already have...

I guess the tweaks you made are exactly the tweaks I need myself. Could you point me into the right direction as to how this was established? I would basically just need some extra functionality on the jomsocial profile pages that is displayed to moderators and contains the same options as the Kunena ban menu does. Could you perhaps ask anybody involved with getting that to work so I can pass this info on to my freelancer to see if he can make it work for me too. If you have it, why can´t I? Becuase without it would render jomsocial of not much use to me as the website evolves around the forum and its 44,000 members.

Hi, Midas.

I afraid that what you ask is beyond our Technical Support.
Tweaks ware implemented by our forum developer and can't be part of JomScoial technical support.
I guess you should look for JomSocial and Kunena skilled developer who could do the same for you.
I can't contact you with our developer as he's not for hire.
I'm sorry.
Please, try here: www.upwork.com/groups/jomsocial

But before you do that - please, check current Kunena JomSocial plugin functionalities and also contact with Kunena developers if they could advise you something more helpful.
