sorry, you mean JS groups module. here the customize:
edit /modules/mod_community_groups/mod_community_groups.php at line 34, change the code from

$tmpGroups = $model->getAllGroups(null, null, null, null, true, false, false, true);

$tmpGroups = $model->getAllGroups(null, 'alphabetical', null, null, true, false, false, true);

How can we make sure it follows the sort order in admin?
