Greetings Pros,
On my site, www.madd-talent.com , I have 6 modules in the F1 to F6 Footer positions. When you click on any of these module images at the bottom of my home page listed above, the page opens. I don't know why and I am sure it's me, but I can't seem to get a module to display in the Sidbar 1 position. Again, I know it's as simple as I am not doing something correctly, but I can't figure out what it is. If you don't mind, could you place a module in the sidebar 1 position, then tell me exactly what you did to get it to appear? I want to place a module in the Sidebar 1 position for all 6 of these modules and just want to be able to know how.

Thanks,

David

Hi, David.

You created custom HTML modules with image and link on it.
That's why when you click on image you're taken to certain page.

I've made a copy of F1 module and assigned it to position sidebar-1 with ease :) i.imgur.com/bzYaWPR.png
When you copy a module you copy it with all settings. You set in Advanced Module Manager (in Assignments tab) that those modules should be displayed on start site and on some others.

It seems that you forget about this settings :)

What I did was basic module assignment in Joomla!: docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_assign_a_module_to_a_position%3F

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Michal,
You are correct. I did create these custom html modules and yes, that is why there is a hyperlinked image attached to them. All 6 of those custom html modules are working just as I wanted them to work currently. That is not really what I was trying to ask, but the more I think about this question, the more I realize it may not be a JomSocial question and I am sorry to have asked. I am pretty sure I can figure out how you did what you did with the module that you placed in sidebar 1 as I saw you had placed it there.

Thanks,

David
