Hi,

Currently there are 3 tabbed module positions in JS 4, js_side_frontpage_top, js_side_frontpage and js_side_frontpage_bottom. In addition there are the stacked positions.

I'd like to replicate one of the tabbed sections to create a couple more tabbed module positions going down the side column.

I'm assuming its a matter of copying code in \com_community\templates\default\frontpage.index.php but the code has gotten more complex with the tabs.

Could you please tell me what code I have to copy in order replicate a tabbed module position section?

Thanks.

Working on localhost, server info not provided.

Hello,

I'm having a moment...

Which file should I be working in to add additional modules position to the side bar of the front page?

I've tried

\components\com_community\templates\default\frontpage.index.php

adding

<div class="joms-module__wrapper"><?php $this->renderModules('PositionName'); ?></div>

at line 132, but im not getting a new module position.

Hi,

you need to put the position name at "please_put_position_name_here'"

<div class="joms-module__wrapper"><?php $this->renderModules('please_put_position_name_here'); ?></div>

you can put existing position name ( documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Built-in_Module_Positions ) or other name.

Yes, I understand how the new position name works. My problem is finding where to inject the code in the php file for the new module position.

I am trying to create additional tabbed and stacked modules position in the side column of the JS frontpage so instead of 3 sets I will have 5.

Like I said, I have injected the code in \components\com_community\templates\default\frontpage.index.php at line 132 but this hasn't created any new module positions. Is this the right file and location for creating new module positions like js_side_frontpage?
