ISSUE SUMMARY:
JS 4.1.3

Applied new fix for groups module, but module displays only 1 featured group out of many.
Also cleared cache, without effect.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:

I've just tested this fix on my test site and it works 100%.
Please, make sure that you applied patch correctly.
Also check module settings.

This fix even made it worse. Before applying the fix all featured groups were properly displayed on the JS community main page. Problem was that the module didn't work on other Joomla pages (if placed outside JS community pages an empty message appeared "no groups created yet").

Now, even inside the JS community only 1 featured group is displayed.

But of course, you can test yourself.

Your case seems to be a bit different.
it seems like module went crazy as when I've set "my groups" it shops more than one but... they are not actually "my".

facing these issues I decided to go back to the original 4.1.3 files. Following your advise I had renamed the original files before applying the fix.

But surprise surprise, after rollback of the original files also those don't work anymore. When selecting "featured groups" in the groups module I now get "no groups created yet".

Cleared all cache, but no chance to get back the initial state.

Any advise?

Played a bit with the module settings, and discovered that if I enter a larger number such as "120" the featured groups are being displayed!

PS: Here's another observation: the number of featured groups displayed is varying with the login status. Logged in users see less featured groups than visitors.

its a bug. for temporary fix I did this:
/modules/mod_community_groups/mod_community_groups.php at line 34 I changing the code from

$tmpGroups = $model->getAllGroups(null, null, null, null, true, false, false);

$tmpGroups = $model->getAllGroups(null, null, null, 1000, true, false, false);

Issue returned with update 4.1.4

Like before the module now returns "no groups created yet" if "featured" is selected.

Applied your temporary fix, which brought featured groups back. However, the groups now are ordered somewhat differently to version 4.1.3.

if you got other issue about group ordering. please open new topic for that.
