Adding a 'my files' section to a person's profile

Hi there,

I'm wondering if there's a way to add a 'my files' section to a person's profile. Here's a specific example of what I want to acheive:

I run a martial arts club, and students do monthly tests to attain a new rank. Upon completion they receive a certificate and a report card.

I want to upload these files and share the results with each individual student. So, let's say I want to 'Ash' to see his results on a section of his profile, but I don't want anyone else to be able to see them - unless 'Ash' wants to publish the results on his wall. I want there to be a record of all the certificates Ash has received and report cards, I will also want him to be able to download or share them whenever he wants.

Is there any way of doing this?

Hi, Daniela.

I'm sorry but there is no such a feature in JomSocial out of the box. Files may be uploaded only in group discussions and announcements.
So you'll need a custom extension for this.
I advise to hire a developer who could help you with: www.upwork.com/groups/jomsocial

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
