Redirect after login to the page the user was attempting to access

ISSUE SUMMARY:

If the users enters the URL of e.g. a protected page like www.test.de/xaz.html they will get correctly get redirected to login. But after the login they are not getting forwarded to the xaz.html page. Is that the expected behaviour?

please activate jomsocial redirect plugin, and make sure you activate redirect to prev page.
