Registration stalls

ISSUE SUMMARY:


STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 new member tries to register completes screen one rainbowrv.com/index.php/communityj3/register
2 fills out second screen of additional info and hit Register

RESULT : blank white screen
EXPECTED RESULT: continue with registration as 10 days prior
BROWSER: firefox and googlec
I updated joomla from 3.3.6 to 3.4.4 thinking this was the issue but no luck
I am attempting to update Jomsocial from 3.2.1.6 to 3.4.4 but am having trouble please see other issue in forum

I went into the admin>extension>Plugins
searched redirect , found System- Jomsocial Redirect
opened Jomsocial redirect plugin
changed the first option "Override com_user registration" from YES to NO ( now it is set to NO)
noted that the second option" Redirect back to previous page" is set to NO
I but I am not sure of the proper setting here also? I may have bumped it
I think setting option one to NO fixed the registration issue But this link documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/JomSocialRedirect
says that it should be set to yes and it was set to yes a few days prior and all things were working

I enabled "Override com_user registration" and registered without any issue:

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

I set up a copy on Rainbowrv.org to make a test development site and put the backup on my .com but now no one can register and even when you register them from the back end it doesnt work. alo none of the menu items work unless a registered member is logged in. i am working on the site in .org trying to make it look better but I need some help fixing the issue on the live site. I was able to update joomla and php to 5.5 I wonder if it is a template problem? Please advise and let me know how to disable the override_com

I'm sorry but I was able to register without any issue:

Also menu items work fine, I can browse to any position (only some like "Upload Photo" require to be logged in but this is expected as only logged in users may upload photos). i.imgur.com/DXOYTJY.png

So could you elaborate about your issue? Or provide steps to replicate it?

Michael Thanks but the live site is rainbowrv.com where the issue is. the dot org is my development site. hopeful that you can fix .com a user name to test is lisab

thanks Michael, the only issue on there now is the forgot password but maybe it is best to leave it untill I do the updates. JomSocial is the best thanks for all your help
