If its NOT related to karma points, why is there an option to sort by Number of user points ? And what does the number next to the star represent?

because all counted data for top members module by using daily statistic data. that user points mean the daily points that collected since your site installed JS 4.1

Yes it is confusing when Karma points says 12 and the new user points system says a different number.

It will confuse users as well.

simple say that user points (top members module) not from "total points" that collected from beginning, total points you can find it under jomsocial backend > monitor > members.

BUT for top members module we counting DAILY statistic data, that statistic data was collected since jomsocial 4.1
this is the explanation about that different number.

Thanks. Points are awarded on the home page now. However, the karma points and the points displayed in the top member module are still different. The points displayed are different and will be confusing to the user.

I marked this as bug, because developer found it. jomsocial need to put minus points on it. not just only add points.

The rule for deleting photos is -1 but it subtracts 2 instead. Apparently there is a problem with jomsocial's point system, the Corejoomla poll plugin cannot update points on the jomsocial point system. Corejoomla said it's a problem with jomsocial's API.

please upgrade to jomsocial to 4.1.3
and apply this fix:


unzip and put it at:
/components/com_community/tables/profile.php

the issue not at top members module but with adding user points at users table. so please edit any members user points from jomsocial backend > monitor > members. so that points same with top members module.

if you using old code. if users adding new avatar. the points will not be added.

this fixes will be included at 4.1.4
