ISSUE SUMMARY:
I have started to shape my new social network and have one issue, but dont know if it is a bug or standard behaivor of JS Hello module.
I have plased JS Hello Me module on the JomSocial homepage but didnt wanted it to be displayed on Profile and few other pages, so I have uncheked those pages in module menu assignment. But now even uncheked module is still on every page. So I have taken different aproach to see what will happen I have uncheked module to be shown on JomSocial homepage and cheked few JomSocial pages but module is not showing at all in this case.
So the only way for me to display JS Hello module is to check JomSocial homepage in menu assigment, but then it is displayed on every JomSocial page as it should, but when I uncheck for example Profile and groups page it is still there regardless.

So how to display JS Hello module only on pages I want and not on all of them?
I have tested this with few templates and still it is the same, there is no confilcts between extensions etc.
Thank you.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
Part ONE:
1 Assign JS Hello me to JomSocial pages
2 Unchek module from few pages for example profile
RESULT Module is still there on unchecked pages
EXPECTED RESULT Module should not be on unassigned pages
Part TWO:
1 Uncheck menu assignment of JS Hello Me module from JomSocial homepage
2 Check menu assignment for example Profile page
RESULT Module is not there
EXPECTED RESULT Module should be there on checked pages

Hi, Goran.

No, this is not a bug. This is just how things work in JomSocial. There is JomSocial Toolbar menu, but it works a bit different that any other menu in Joomla! Menu items in JomSocial toolbar doesn't have OWN menu ID... at least it's not used in Joomla! It uses - instead - lowest menu item ID of menu item outside JomSocial toolbar (in most cases it's JomSocial frontpage/home).

So assigning any module to JomSocial frontpage menu item will result with display of that module on EVERY JomSocial page.

But this could be easy overcome. Try to install this great extension: extensions.joomla.org/extension/advanced-module-manager
It will allow you to assign module to pages URL instead of menu items... as most page URL are unique.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
