This might be a Joomla issue, but you have two positions that are named similar with one difference:

js_side_top and js_side_top_stacked.

When I try to place something in the js_side_top position, it automatically makes me pick the js_side_top_stacked.
I've cleared the search box and everything. In fact here's a video showing this:

Hi, Arthur.

It's because you already have (or had) module assigned to js_side_top_stacked.
Just type in manually js_side_top and hit enter.
This is not an issue at all as Joomla! show only positions that it is "aware" of. Doesn't "see" component built-in positions unless they ware used at leas once.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

That's exactly what i did. I typed it fully out and hit enter. But it still puts the stacked one.

Hi, Arthur.

I've checked your site backend and this module position is set correctly: prntscr.com/7vmjg9
Nevertheless this issue (if still exist) has nothing to do with JomSocial as module is displayed and configured in com_modules (Joomla!)
I guess that this odd behaviour is rather related with browser.
