I want to move the JomSocial Toolbar Icons elsewhere (is there a way to choose which menu should be used to display them?). Perhaps in the main menu or at least be able to style them with CSS properly.

Right now the icons don't have their own class. I think I can change this in com_community/templates/jomsocial/toolbar/base.php but then again this could be overriden with the next update.
Overriding this by using my template/html/ folder could be bad as well if you add functionality to the original base.php with an update and I would miss that.

If you wanna move the icons I think you can use jomsocial notifications module to achive this.

Thanks I'll play around with this! The symbols are a bit different though and are opening a popup instead of a dropdown menu.
