ISSUE SUMMARY: I installed JomSocial on my web site. Everything seems to work fine except that I have "bullets" showing up in front of everything (i.e., menu items, field names, avatar picture in member list, etc). I looked everywhere if there was a setting that automatically setup those bullets and couldn't find it

1. just happens all the time on every jomsocial page (i.e., main page, profile page, edit page, etc)

you must put this CSS at the site frontend template. you can asking that template provider about how to put custom CSS at they template.
