JomSocial Expired

ISSUE SUMMARY:

Hello,

Within any given group discussion, the page displays 2 modules on the right hand side: Available Files & Related Discussions. I didn't set these up so assume they come as default within the Community Group Discussions page layout.

My first question is - where are the details for these modules stored? I've checked both within the Component Settings & Module Manager but cannot find them!

Hopefully once my first question is answered, the second won't need to be... as this relates to a problem we're experiencing with the 'Available Files' module (some file types aren't uploading and we don't know why). Once I've found the settings, I'm guessing I change the file types that are allowed and so forth!

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, Rachel.

Those are not quite module... not in Joomla! module meaning. They are boxes that pretend to be a modules. But there are no settings for them as they are just display boxes. They display data that is stored directly in database.

You can manage files uploaded in discussions within a group here: prntscr.com/7kqndm
And it looks like this: prntscr.com/7kqnkz

As for upload settings - JomSocial doesn't have own and it follows Joomla! settings done in Media Manager and server upload size settings: prntscr.com/7kqo6p

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
