Thanks Albert, that works but I was hoping that you could tell me how I might add a php include that will display the number of members in a Custom HTML module that I already have. This would save me from having to add another module to the page.

but when I save my work it gets changed to this

I have already went into Components > JEC Editor > Profiles > Default > Edit Parameters > Advanced and set Allow PHP to yes, but this isn't working

Hi James,

I still suggest you to using custom module that I made for you.
you cant just put

<?php echo "($totalMembers)"; ?>
that code will not works, because the module need execute the script at:
mod_community_totalmembers.php for calling jomsocial functions and put the return value at "$totalMembers".

for more about custom HTML module you can open new topic at here:

How do I add text to the module you've made for me so that it doesn't look so blank?
