ISSUE SUMMARY:


I want to keep the small toolbar but get rid of the Big toolbar. So far only way I can get rid of this big thing is if I disable everything but that disables the smaller one too. how do I keep just the smaller toolbar and remove the big one. I attached a screenshot

Hi, Bryan.

The big one is your site menu. The smaller one is JomSocial toolbar built-in into JomSocial component.
Both load JomSocial toolbar menu items.

To get rid big menu completely just edit that file (lets say that you use layout "social" in Backend -> Extensions -> Template manager -> Socialize -> Layout):

ROOT/templates/socialize/tpls/social.php

(if you use other layout, edit file that name corresponds to your layout name.

And comment or remove this line:

<?php $this->loadBlock('mainnav') ?>

To comment:
<?php // $this->loadBlock('mainnav') ?>

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
