Dear Support team,

I have placed a module on the js_side_frontpage space. It works nicely, however, it is now tabbed with an other module that i have placed there. How can i make them not tabbed? Or.. better.. how can i connect 2 modules? Since i want to have the tab option with the last module that i installed with a module that i still need to install.

Thank you very much for you time.

P.s. i have searched the wiki for this.. but could not find it.

Hi, Cynthia.

Please, read this: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Built-in_Module_Positions
Just add modules in different position or use _stacked.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi, Cynthia.

Those on profile pages are not modules but plugins. They could be tabbed like yours when you assigned them to main position. You may also assign them to sidebar position. But if in one position are more than one, they will get tabbed. It can't be changed.

oke.. but would it not then be a great idea for the update so that users have more controle over it? This because i need some modules tabbed and other just plain. I guess i would not be the only one.

However.. this can be done on the front page right? As far as i understand i have 3 positions. Every position that comes after the first module in that position will be added as a tab. However.. you mentioned the option stacked. What does that mean?

Thank you

Hi, Cynthia.

Everything is explained here: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Built-in_Module_Positions

So example:

You have 3 modules in position: js_side_frontpage. So they are all in tabs. But you want that 3rd module was displayed as separated module UNDER first two tabbed modules. Then you use js_side_frontpage_stacked ans 3rd module position and that's it.

This will work for any tabbed module position.
