ISSUE SUMMARY:

The activity stream module does not show me an option to hide stream content like shown in your docs.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1. In backend modules find Community Activity module
2. In settings there is no option to hide content in stream listings, results in stream on home page using too much space with photos, etc

Hi,

Ehm I see, the icon for options stream is not showing on non-jomsocial page. I will mark this as a bug.
Regarding much space in stream, this is default as design.. maybe you should do some trick on your css.

thank you

What do you mean by non-jomsocial page? I am talking about in Joomla admin module settings, the option to hide stream content is not available. I could set it directly in the database if you tell me what the setting should be. currently settings for that module are:

{"max_entry":"10","moduleclass_sfx":""}

Ehm, I think I debug another issue which related with your issue and I found the bug when see the Jomsocial module on non-jomsocial page.

Well, regarding your issue, you can try to add the css code and put it on your css file

div#cModule-ActivityStream .joms-stream__body {
  display: none;
}

The css override works to hide the content, but the content still gets loaded slowing the page.

My real question is:

1. Why in joomla admin is the option to hide/show content not displaying when changing the settings for the activity stream module?

Thanks

Hi Forrest,

That just trick to hide via CSS, I am not provide the solution to totally hide it.

We will improve all modules in version 4.1, if you think this options will be great to be added on the modules, please you post your idea into jomsocial user voices.

thank you
