Making plugin only appear for the user logged in on their own page.
ISSUE SUMMARY:
I have created a profile plugin which I only want to displayed to the user when the user is looking at their own profile page. Currently, the plugin loads however if a user navigates to a different user's profile, she sees the plugin populated with her info instead of preferably not even having the tab for the plugin appear.
The live site is not up yet, so please use the development url

BROWSER
That's expected behavior. If plugin/app is set as "core app" then it will be displayed obligatory on every profile.
You should rather modify your plugin that it displays content only if viewed user profile ID matches currently logged in user ID. If not then nothing is displayed or a notice.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.

I can easily modify my plugin to show no content but i believe the navigation tab will still be there. how do get rid of the navigational tab when it isnt the users profile page? is there an option other than core that would achieve this?
