Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
Greetings Pro's,
I have another question about the Twitter update that is now an application tab located below the member profile picture. The first time I set up this Twitter application, it asked me for my Twitter information. Now, when I configure a new member account it does not ask me for any Twitter information. It automatically uses the information that I already entered on my admin account.
Does this mean that this application is only designed to update one account for the whole site and any member of
www.madd-talent.com
will see my admin Twitter account updates in that tab on their profile page?
I was hoping that this Twitter Application would allow each member to add their own Twitter account information and then this tab would display any new Tweets that their account recieved.
If this Twitter application does not allow each member to see their Twitter account Tweets from this tab, is there another application that will allow each member to add their Twitter account information and see their Tweets in that tab and maybe reply and or post new Tweets to their Twitter account from MADD Talent.
If there is no application that does this, I think it would be a very good application for you Pro's to design. This would allow our members to see and access their Twitter and Facebook accounts from their JomSocial account and make every JomSocial network more powerful that Facebook and Twitter as each member on every JomSocial network could see and interact with their other social accounts from their JomSocial account, making it possible for members to use one site to do what they currently do on many different accounts.
That would give the JomSocial network owners a significant advantage over the bigger social networks. Just a thought. If you don't have this and are not designing it for the future, please let me know as I will hire someone to do it and my site would be unique in that regard.
If you provided your keys into app configuration in Backend -> Extensions -> Plugin Manager - then it will display your Twitter updates.
But if you leave key fields empty, each user that enables this app in his/hers profile will be able to add own keys and this display own Twitter updates.
In this case user should Browse to Frontend -> Profile -> Customize My Page add twitter Updates and when it appears click on cog icon and sign in with Twitter:

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Michal,
You are correct and it did work. One more thing needed to be done than what you shared with me. Prior to going to the Twitter App configuration button ,in blue, you first need to be logged into the Twitter account that you want it to access and it will then do it all automatically.
