Plugin Names

Not sure if I'm correct, or mistaken.
Think I have read either on you blog or community of a new way of changing the plugin names?

Can someone confirm and if so point to a documentation page.

Hi.

Yes, I confirm that plugin titles are using language constants so they can be overrided using Joomla language override feature;

documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Changin...gle_Sentence_or_Word

Just search for plugin title and change it to something will fit you more.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

In talking about the name of the plugin that gets on the xml rather than language file.
Jomsocial plugin names are given from the xml name tag.

Hi.

I know what you talking about any my answer is correct. We use language constants as plugin titles e.g: <name>PLG_EVENTS_TITLE</name>

Then constant: PLG_EVENTS_TITLE is in language file and could be overrided in Joomla! Check code of plugins for JomSocial 4.0.2.
