how do i make the module only visible in the storytelling(blog factory) pages without removing the homepage menu item because i want to have a link on the blog factory menu which takes me to the home page other than the house on the top header. but when i click the homepage menu item it takes me to the home page but the module come too
All i want is a link not another page that looks like the home page-http://prntscr.com/6neglm

for module behavior only can do from joomla module manager. you can assign that module not on all pages, but only in some page.
please goto joomla backend > extensions > module manager, and setup that module.

if module manager ability not like what you want. you must build your own custom module.
